The Blue Caves are located in Aspros Vrahos (White Rock), south of Cape Skinari, the most northern end of the island. The place is located 35 km northwest of the town of Zakynthos.
The most famous of these caves is called Turquoise Cave. The entrance was discovered only in the late 19th century. The name is due to bright turquoise color and crystal clear waters.
The caves are accessible only by tourist boats, departing from either the town of Zakynthos or the nearby port of Agios Nikolaos. You can also use a private yacht or boat, provided you are well familiar with the sea in this region.
Swimming in the Blue Caves is an unforgettable experience. Let yourself travelĀ to a different, exotic world.
Access from the town of Zakynthos up to Agios Nikolaos is easy by rented or private car or motorbikes.
